Vidya Balan, whose much hyped about film ‘The Dirty Picture’ a biopic based on the life of the Indian actress Silk Smitha, has been advised complete rest for a week by doctors. She has been working to a tight schedule especially for the completion of her forthcoming film based on the life of Silk Smitha, who became the ultimate sex symbol of Indian films in the 80’s acting in over 450 films in a career spanning over 17 years.
Because of dizziness and fatigue, Vidya Balan underwent a checkup and a series of medical tests that revealed her haemoglobin count was lower than normal. On being advised to get hospitalized, she was put on drip and kept under observation at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital from where she was discharged with the medical advice for complete rest for a week, industry sources reported.
Reports say that she has been working nonstop for the last few weeks as the 33-year-old actress expects her role in the biopic as her dream role, and such hard work has had its toll on her health.
Her 7-day rest can affect the last phase of the shooting for ‘The Dirty Picture’ and also it can tighten up the schedule of Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani, slated for release in January 2012.
However, the director Milan Luthria and producer Ekta Kapoor are reported to be confident that their film The Dirty Picture will be ready for release on time.
Following the box office success of her last releases such as Paa, Ishqiya and No One Killed Jessica, industry sources and her fans expect her next film The Dirty Picture and Kahaani to be released in January, also to be huge success stories.
A short teaser of The Dirty Picture was launched online on 26 August 2011, and it received very good response, and its trailer was released on YouTube.
